User Reviews

  • Does exactly what it's supposed to do: First there is some captcha-like human input, which might take some minutes, depending on the consistency of the source pdf. Then you click a button and - done! It's not perfect, as the batches can include pages which are too much to the left or to the right in reference to the other pages in the same batch, resulting in cropped out text. In addition, the pages of the final product are only cropped visibly. When a page is selected in my pdf reader, I can see, that the selected element still spans over the original size of the corresponding page. A workaround I tried and tested is to print the document that is a product of briss to pdf, and then ocr scan it. All in all, it does what is says on the tin and for an open source software its amazing. It is not flawless and - as all openly available software - should be used cautiously (RE: the rating about confidentiality issues).
  • Muy bueno
  • Very helpful tool. i was asked to prepare scanned book as PDF, and for my surprise book was scanned as two pages in a scan. Briss easily solved the problem. Application is very simple. Lacks advanced features but it works just fine and does the job perfectly.
  • It's a really useful program. I can read pdfs better on my e-reader now. However, I must note that the margins are just hidden, for some reason, and they will appear or not deppending on your display/print configuration. I advice everyone to be careful about it and not crop confidential content like our friend on the comments.
  • It's an amazing tool. Free, can be used on any OS, works fine
